why does it say on magnaflows website that there si/do catback system for 4.0L does not fit edge and sport models?

Just installed catback #15773 on my 09 sport, easy to install and fits good. Sounds so freakin good to. i had to remove my factory hitch(never use it anyways.) cuz the pipes came right under the hitch, so i found them to low. besides that pretty sweet.For the edge model i have no idea why it doesn't fit.

 

that must be why then. the hitch? cause i cant figure out any posible reason why it wouldnt fit. 15773 is the kit that says it wont work on edge or sport models

 

Since your in ontario look on Magnaflow Exhaust Solutions-Hottexhaust.com website . that's were i bought it. it doesn't say that it does not fit the sports model. only edge. If you have an Edge model give them a buzz or write them. I had a super service with them. You can make them an offer on the price on the net. i made an offer and they accepted .

so according to the company selling madnaflow exhaust systems on ebay the edge has a different frame from all other rangers??? thats why the system supposedly does not fit?

 

i had to have my magnaflow exhaust custom built because the truck came factory with a receiver hitch. this is why the "do it yourself" magaflow si/do systems won't work on edges because many or all the 4x4 models came with receiver hitches.

 

When I went to talk to my exhaust guy about doing SI/DO, he said many of the kits have problems with both the frame and spare tire location. Edges apparently have something different going on underneath. My guy did excellent work: a cat back all stainless steel system which sounds great. I would hate to buy a kit online only to find out that while I'm installing I run into clearance issues. Just my .02.
