Magnaflow vs flowmaster

Just bought a 2001 4.0 v6 ford ranger edge. I've heard that most ppl get magnaflow or flowmast. Which would u recommend for my truck?

Its all personal preference, I have a Flowmaster 40, I like it, but you should look up vids on youtube and decide for yourself

I got the single in/dual out magnaflow kit and I love it. It all depends on what you want. How loud do you want it to be? Do you mind interior resonance?

I loved my Magnaflow. Flowmaster is a little too loud/raspy for my taste. It's all in how you view it though. I'm sure when I was back in high school I would have installed a Flowmaster. However, now at my old age of 24 (haha), I would much rather have a Magnaflow. I don't have either on my FX4 at the moment, it's stock.

I posted the same thread as you a few weeks ago before I got my exhaust, all your gonna get is peoples personal preference..I think they both sound good, it's just up to you. Magnaflows have a great sound, not as loud but a nice deep tone to it, I really like em. I went with a flowmaster 50 series, single in, dual out with the 2 tips coming out right before my rear right tire... It's throaty and halfway loud, hearing it coming down the road...But not too annoyingly loud that'll **** off neighbors and whatnot...I've also heard some Borla and Gibson exhaust that I really like...But just go to YouTube and type in 3.0L Ranger Exhaust and it'll getcha a better idea... I hear my exhaust while Im driving, but its not too loud at all, I like the sound of it...or if you get tired of it, turn up the radio...

rumble and flowmaster shouldnt be in the same sentence, its more like:

rasp/flowmaster
and
deep sound/magnaflow.
