what about lowered suspensions are you going to ask him that we are not answering? His truck was dropped on belltech 3 inch dropped coils in the front on stock arms and a explorer axle out back for a 4 inch drop.

Hey hey! Haha Gildo sent me a message, and yes, I am a ***** on myspace. LMFAO not really but it is about the easiest way to get in touch with me LOL

Everyone doing well?

I've got the truck on a dealer lot, BTW. Asking $6K, will take $5K bottom-dollar.

Looking to jump into an SRT-6 Muahahaha

I could take some updated pictures, but it wouldn't show any change whatsoever...

Once I bought the house in late 2005, everything came to a screeching halt on the truck. Also, being the OCD character I am, I wanted to try to update the look to 2005+ mustang/Ford specs... in other words, focusing on more angular looks, 20" seven-spoke saleen wheels, etc.

I basically wanted it to look like the S-331 pickup, just smaller.

Then, around late 2007, the X-fire bug hit me. I've been in love with the cars since. I'm saving money, and I plan on paying CASH for one in the very near future. The sale of the truck will merely facilitate that.

The 6's are low 13-second cars out of the box... slap a RennTech pulley and L.E.T. tune on it, and you're looking at DEEP 12's.

Not too shabby...

But the truck, I will miss her. I've just outgrown her, and my insterest is very hit & miss.

No sense keeping a vehicle that you're not passionate about, when some younger guy in high-school would love to have it.

And, the price is right. So I wait...

Well I am in the predicament weather to go with 17" wheels or 18"s. I know most of you dislike lowered truacks and I know he is an ethusist.... I also need to know if i go with the 2" drop up front and the 3" flip kit would it be possible to fit 18"s with out issues....

Plus John helped me before with some understanding.... also looking to find Ranger guys in the Hampton Roads Area.... don't see to many active guys/girls......

youll be fine either way with those size rims just choose the correct tire size with a diameter around 26"

I wouldnt waste time with a 2.3 drop though go 4/5 it will ride better than on stock arms up front.

I would go with 18"s, but I like the look of the bigger wheel. it'll ride stiffer because of less sidewall, but I like the look. And yeah, go straight for the 4/5.

Although I wouldn't deem myself an expert by any means, I appreciate the sentiment!

Like the others have said, if money allows, go for the 4/5 as the ride will be way better and much more friendly on suspension components.

Concerning the 18's, you'll be fine as long as you're conservative in tire height. I was running a 255/40/18 with the 3/4 and had plenty of room to spare for suspension flex.

It's been calculated before that a 4/5 on a Ranger puts the RCG atroughly 2" above the pavement, which is gravy for Auto-X.

By running the 3" coils, they dropped the truck quickly and cheaply, but also lead to some wear issues and put additionaly strain on components because the geometry was out of whack.

If you MUST go with 3" drop, at least buy the DJM upper control arms, as you will be able to better adjust camber issues. Factory arms freak out with anything more than a 2" drop.

Hope this helps...
