Going to be a really nice truck if you lower it on some 17s or 18s.

What's wrong with a 4 banger auto XL? It's a blank canvas!

The 2002+ 2.3L I4 is not the same as the 93 2.3. Just saying.

Congrats on the truck! We need to have a North Texas Meet!

Good looking truck, surprised to hear how the 4 banger stacks up against the 3.0. I know the 3.0 is a dog but still. 4 bangers manuals get old quick. Your better off with the auto....imo.....i had a 4 cyl 5 speed tacoma, i was sick of it the first week i had it. traded it in after 18 months on the 4.0 auto Ranger

Good deal you got there. Especially with the 0% financing. Personally I would rather have the auto over 5sp.

I would rather have the 5 speed, but I didn't have a choice. I work for the local school district so THANK GOD I had all this week off because of Christmas break, so I had a week to find something, and the pool here is VERY limited as far as dealers go, and I don't have time to Craigslist it, so I was in a hurry. This little gem was sitting in front of my local bank, it's a repo, so I had no choice at all on options but I'm happy with it.

The Mazda was a little red 1994 3.0 auto, 67,000 miles. I'm keeping it, and I kind of fixed it so it's only leaking a little, and my car-less roommate who's kind of between a rock and a hard place is borrowing it until he gets the bank for something of his own, then I'm building a dune buggy out of the parts :)

As far as power, the 2007 2.3 I4 is actually a lot quicker than my old 3.0, both in top speed and acceleration, and gets me good mileage while doing it. The only thing is that going up hills or when I have stuff in the bed it's dead obvious that it has nowhere near the torque of the 3.0. The 2.3 vs the 4.0 is a different story, (my mother has a 4.0 that I've driven quite a bit) the 4.0 is hands down much, much quicker and goes a lot faster, boatloads of torque, but gets half the gas mileage.

when the price, miles and condition are right, you don't ask. especially when you're in need of a vehicle quickly. I think he got a good deal.
Indeed, and like he said its faster than his old 3.0

Nice truck!
