93 Ranger 4X4 ext. cab 4.0L lifted

Just happened to look on CL before crashing. If it's as good as it sounds I may ****** it up before I leave for knoxville.

Yeah I want something I can take offroading that I dont mind if it gets banged up. The 04 is way to nice of a truck to do that to it. So a cheap trail rig is the better way to go. Plus it'll put some money in my pocket at the same time.

^^^ not sure about the jeep part, just not a fan of them but a solid axle would be great for a trail rig

Not ruling out a jeep by any means, but this happened to pop up. I wouldn't mind a gen3 trail rig either, but the jeep is more then likely what i'll get. I'm still going to check into this ranger.

yeah SFA is the best way to go, but with a gen3 thats a fairly painless swap.

Definitely use the salvage title part to your advantage in talking him down, and i would want to see some receipts for the motor swap.

He sent me some pics of the interior and its pretty clean. It's also been converted to twin sticks. I just send an email back asking for the VIN so I can run it on autocheck. So we will see what happens.

I think once you talk him down that will be a good investment.

As long as you pretend to know more about than he does, the ball will be in your court

Ya, that truck doesnt seem to be worth what he is asking. The salvage title thing bothers me. Question is why did it have one? Seems like alot of miles for the price. I think it would be worth half of what he is asking. Those gen rangers never go for much around me.

I bet he bought it from a yard after someone wrecked it and didn't want to fix it. Lots of insurance companies will go ahead and total a truck out even if it can be fixed for less than the estimate.

Happened to my nephews Ranger, they almost doubled the price of parts to make sure it was totaled.

A salvage title wouldn't bother me if you knew what happened and what was fixed.

Why would you resell that anyway? That thing will just be a trail rig

But me personally I wouldnt want to buy something with a salvage title. It means there is more damage than what the vehilce was worth. Not something I would want.

The way I look at it at least he was honest about it. I'm sure I can talk him down some though.

Rangers hold there value here especially 4x4's. There was a 2.3/5spd 94 regcab that was in good shape and a hair less then 200k and they were asking 5k for it. Around here rangers are priced much like jeeps.

Wow, thats ridiculous. I can ask $5,000 for my truck but doesn't mean anyone would buy it. Seriously though, I wouldn't buy it.

Seems like a solid truck to me. Looks like a good trail rig and it has everything in it (besides a SFA) that we all do to ours. I would pay like $3500 for it.

I still think you should quit buying cars though, as I said on your Jeep thread. Why do you think the 04 is such a great truck. Its a 6 year old Ranger. Use it like one.

Hell if I get an 06-09 Level II like I want that thing will be up at Yankee Lake in no time.

Thats crazy. roberts and mine (which is pretty much the same truck stock) are KKB $2500 here but we would get MAYBE $1800. With lift, 31s, and 8.8 L/S? $2500 lol.
