tirechain.com chain problems
Hey all,
I bought some v bar reinforced cam style tire chains from tire chain. com, and have really benefited from the traction they provide in the white stuff. I was actually able to pull through a section of road that had 18 inches of snow with ice under it in my 2wd edge after a buddy with a 4x4 ranger got stuck. However, after chaining up 5 or 6 times, and only driving about 20 miles, one chain is fine, but on the other, the cross chain links are worn 1/2 way through. I don't think that this is normal considering that I keep the chains tight and also use a rubber tensioner. Tirechain.com has been less than helpful, and said that the chain is probably not under warranty. Is it possible that I just have a defective chain, and should get another pair, or is tirechain.com's products known for poor quality? What say you?
