MPGs

what's your mileage per tank? I'm thinkin my new ranger is still breaking in, so at 1500km old I get 17L/100km on 4.0L engine with 2WD highway/city driving.

17L/100km = 16.6 MPG?

Umm Metric System is lame its like Chinese.

I get between 15 and 18 depending on the speeds i drive. How much Hwy driving i do and how fast i accelerate.

Actually, 17L/100km is more like 14 mpg. (it would be 16.6 if using the UK conversion to gallons.. the US conversion is different)

I get 17 to 19 1/2. I can't get over that. I drove to Florida a few weeks ago and couldn't hit over 19. Tried everything to get it to hit 20.

First off, the Metric system is a much better system.

I always get around 300 miles per tank (about 500 km) 4.0 4x4, manual.

I'm always amazed to see some of these threads when I realize my 302 gets better gas mileage than some of you guys with stock motors...

City/HWY I get 19-20 (I can get it up to 22 if I drive right). The most I've gotten HWY is 24.5. This is on my 3.0L 4x2 sitting on 235/75/15 tires. So I'm sure if I upgraded to bigger tires it'd go down.

My best high way tank ever was 25.2ish MPG, and my mixed driving is about 20MPG in the summer. Now in the winter I've seen as low as 13MPG...

Hah, another reason I'm doing the swap.

My 5.0 Fox and 4.6 MKVIII both got better mileage than my 3.0 Ranger, were 5x faster and weighed about the same. That is sweet/stupid at the same time.
