Probably been asked before but im new here so i'll ask anyway. Looking to put a 99-2001mountaineer bumper or explorer bumper on my 93 ranger. Has anyone done this and if so will they match up close to the factory ranger bumper?

 

mounts and the top of the bumper differ a little bit, but if i may ask why this bumper?

 

I've seen it done. Its wider than the rest of the body and there is a big gap between the grill and bumper

 

I was looking at this bumper because i dont like the ranger foglight valance for the bottom of the factory bumper and the mercury & explorer bumper when i laid it out on the computer gave the front in a beefier look if you know what i mean. But if its gapped is that bad i will probably figure something else out.

 

if i may make a suggestion, take your stock bumper, and design a new style to it. weather it be a valence or a rack or a light setup. and have it custom built. i did it with mine after i ripped off my plastic trim and dinged it up a tad. had a valence and i drilled out mounts for my own fog lights. only cost me 90 bucks
