Its funny, alot if not all of the comments on mileage decrease is where the climate is getting colder. This is funny as the winter blend fuel has hit already and gas mileage will decrease. Dont worry about your mileage until summer hits because nothing you do is going to make it better with the winter blend fuel and the colder temperatures. The trucks like the colder temperature for performance but eats up the gas. I have noticed a decrease as well but I know what is from, nothing wrong with the truck just that time of year.

Your speedo is only of 1.2 mph so if your going 50mph your actually going 51.2mph.

lol and you didnt believe me. its been proven on my truck time and time agian.

gas mialge has alot to do with humidity, height from sea level, temperature, gas quality, right foot, mods, wear and tear, poor maint...... the list goes on, and on.

most of it has to do with the cold. i just deal with it and cant wait for warm weather.

Oxygen sensor(s). When they wear out, they produce less voltage, and makes the engine run rich. They usually last about 60k miles, unless they get contaminated.

If you have a oiled airfilter, like K&N, you might consider cleaning the MAF air density sensor just after the air box. You can ruin the sensor if done wrong, so read up about it first.

The Ford (Bosche) F/I and EEC is excellent, and isn't affected by air density, humidity, etc, if the everything else is in order. It measures air intake by the pound.
