Icon2 I got some questions, Please read.

Ok, My truck hasn't been driving very smooth lately(nothing engine related) When I leave the truck sit for an hour or 2, and get back in and go, it feels like either my brakes or my E-brake is sticking, it happens when I just start to go at a slow role probably 10-15 mph, it feels like the brakes stick then loosen repeatedly its suttle though. I've been using my e-brake alot lately, So I was wondering maybe my e-brake is sticking a little bit, any ideas. I'm really bad at explaining so if I confuse you I'll try and explain it again.

Also when I'm on the highway there seems to be a hobble noise in my tires, I checked for rocks in the tread nothing, It does it everytime I drive on the highway, My dad said a band may have broken in one of the tires, not sure though, any clue how i could fix this?

And last question My upper balljoints and inner and outer Tie rods need replaced theres a popping noise that happens every once in a while that i know isn't good, and I heard that you can't just replace the ball joint but the whole upper control arm if your replacing them for the first time. I'm not sure if my balljoints have been replaced before, I would assume they have b/c of it having so many miles. But is that true what i said above? I can get pics of my UCA's if needed.

Thanks,
Clay

Brake issue: No clue.

"Hobble": Could have thrown a weight off a drive shaft, could have thrown a weight off a tire. Is it a vibration? Is it a 'tick'?

BJ's/TRE's: Yes....The only upper arms with replaceable joints are Moog brand arms. All others are 1 piece with built-in non-replaceable ball joints. Rockauto.com for your parts...BEST DEALS!! When I did joints, I got prices of $140 for *name brand* non replaceable joint and the Moogs were $105 or so and replacable joints. Next time you do BJ's, you'll save $100 by using moog upper arms(price of replacemnt joints in moog arms are about $40). The lowers are a straight swap and are replaceable. Outer tie rod ends tend to be crap on these trucks...that's where your 'pop' sound is coming from most likely.

When was the last time you had your breaks worked on? Maybe a sticky caliper...?

I was thinking the same things Shane was... you tossed a weight.

And I was thinking the same thing as you about the sticky caliper. In fact, I had pretty much the same issue with my Ranger, and that's what it turned out to be.

Theres a little bit of a vibration, its not bad enough to be annoying. thanks for the name of that site I will definitely look into that.
