My Splash Project

Alright, so it's not a REAL truck project. More like a miniature truck project. I got a 93 splash model and a 95 XLT model (to use for interior and spare parts). I got them for a few bucks on eBay...

here is the real thing...

and my exhaust (which was not easy to replicate)

DoTheDrew040 04-21-2008 02:37 PM

There's money in this?! I can't imagine doing many more of these...takes way too much time and patience!

Pretty cool, a couple of guys on the site have done this.

schatten789 04-21-2008 03:29 PM

I thought about doing that with mine since I use to build models but they dont make my body style.

Looks like your doing a good job.

Your exhaust tip would look awesome if it came out through the fender.

I did this not too long ago, but I had to use a reg cab 95 Ranger model made by AMT I bought off line at www.gomotorbis.com. And I working on one like my old 1992 F-150 FlareSide too.

Trigger01 04-24-2008 07:19 PM

Looks awesome! You should get a piece of plastuct and make a t- cover for the model.

01Blueedge 04-24-2008 07:22 PM

Looking good I have been thinking about trying to modify 2 of those kits to make a replica of my truck but thats gonna be alot of scratch building because I would have to make it an extended cab and an 01

FordFever 04-26-2008 12:04 AM

That came out really good! you do good work!

I made a mustang once, my first model. it came out kind of bad but it was decent.
