My Truck is Alive and Kicking Well Again!!!!!!

Well,

I started playing with the truck and tried coming up with ideas that might work and all!

(1) Flushed out the Coolant system
(2) Added Bar's Stuff---Pelletized Radiator Leak Filler
(3) Went ahead and did Oil Filter Replacement since it was due for a new one..Running on Mobil 1 Synthetic Blend-15K Mile Oil
(4) Replaced both Gaskets...done for free

(5) Most important one...Took smaller Pulley off and put the stock one back on the supercharger

And BAM!!!!!!!! She is back to normal again and kicking some arse like she is usually doing! Total cost for everything was around $8.50! Amazing ain't it? hahahahaha....

Now ya'll can stop worrying about the beast and a half! Now on to what ya'll were doing! Have a great day!!!!!!!!!

glad it is back to running though - I would flush the radiator again and get that stuff out!

So no pulley? Is that what caused it I guess? Glad she's back!

Yea, most likely I believe it was the pulley! It couldn't handle the low low rpms very well sitting there in either park or neutral! So basically, I'm blaming it on the 2.5" pulley for now until I find other proof!

Woo Hoo! Happy Dance! Glad it wasn't a major expense.
Now get out there and sling some mud.

Shalafi49 08-03-2005 08:16 AM

Stronger gasket wouldn't help?

I'll Git-R-Done sooner or later with slinging some mud, but for now taking it easy for a little bit and eventually it will see the stuff she loves the most!

Well, I called the almighty Doug up for questions about that, and he said it takes alot to do something major to anything in the supercharger and said the pulley wouldn't do such damage like that..

He told me to take the belt off the pulley and turn the pulley by hand and if it was clicking alot while turning then it was the supercharger that went bad! And so I did and nothing was clicking, such a relief to see that it didn't affect it at all!

Redneckstone 08-03-2005 08:46 AM

does the shaft have and play in it. like in out and side to side or no?

winks 08-03-2005 08:55 AM

Good to hear the SC is ok, that would suck if it were damaged!
