Name that Part.... and where it goes!

Ok, so I have decided to clean up my truck. I waxed it, spent all of 5 minutes on the engine to clean it up a bit, and now im on the disaster... the interior.

Sparky has made a mess of the front seats, So today I decided to remove them and do a thorough cleaning of the cab. Before hitting the floor with water, I started poking around under the floor. And right next to the drivers seat, under the rubber floor, I find this:

It was just laying there... I dont know where it goes. It looks to me like a seal for the floor or something. It wasnt there a year ago... Cause I pulled the seats and dried the underside of the floor last May... Which means, when it was in the shop for that accident, they musta been poking around or something. Anyways, where does it go?

That is a rubber plug. If you pull it out it should drain the water out. It also might cover one of the body bolts (most likely this).

ya well it was just laying there on the floor... like, not doing anything, u could move it with a light tap of the finger.. and it doesnt look like it goes anywhere that i could tell....

I think its one of the plugs for the firewall.

thats what i use to empty all the sitting water in my cab that leaks in after a bad storm...

where does it go tho? there are no holes in the floor where it looks to go...

.....looks like a floor plug,2 areas shown, back by the cab corners, also in front by where feet rest, also if it is a super cab with a small rear door,it shows one at the bottom of that door

i don't have any floor covering due to the insulation absorbing water and molding. sit in a natural position and one will be under the drivers left foot, and the other under passengers right foot. underneath the plug you'll see a bolt connecting the cab to the frame.

found it... wierd that it was out... Makes me wonder what the shop was up to...
