Hey guys I was just wondering. What was so special about the auto dim mirror from an explorer. Do they do anything else besides auto dim. Like have map lights or tell the temp, or maybe even tell what direction your going. I maybe interested in getting one if they do more than just auto dim. Thanks in advance.

 

Yeah it has map lights. Thats the point of the auto dim.

Some have the temperature and the direction. You can get one at a junkyard or you can buy a gentex one. (aftermarket)

they also turn your lights on automatically..mine has no map lights in it

 

yeah, the explorer auto dim mirror has auto headlights as well. the maps lights, compass, and temp are in the over head console on the explorers.

 

Well I just want the auto dim mirror with the compass, and temp. That way I won't need to do an OHC.

The only reason I would put an OHC in my truck would be for the temp, and compass. If I can get it in an auto dimming mirror it would be alot easier.

I love my OHC, even more so packed with LED's

 

Yeah I'll have to think about it. I don't know if i wanna do an OHC. I think the Auto dimming Mirror with the temp, anf compass would be better.

 

OHC is the way to go... It just looks so.... sophisticated...

And its cheaper...

 

I may have to put more thought into doing an OHC. I'm not sure if thats something I want to do. I still like the Auto dimming mirror with the compass and temp display.
