NEED HELP W/94 RANGER

I have 1994 Ranger w/ 3.0 103,000 miles. Today i notice a surging when i accelerated. Seems like its missing. When i get up 55mph and don't accelerate its fine, but when i give more gas it starts jerking again. I hope this makes sense.

Anyone want to help?

Sounds like not enough fuel under acceleration. How old is the fuel filter?
