I am working on installing my WAAG bar and it has been the biggest gosh darn pain in the @$$. If it can go wrong, it either has or is. Can somebody tell me if I need to cut my valance to get the lower brackt on?

Yeah...I had one of those mornings today too...but other than Murphy's law, I dont believe that you have to cut the valance.....at least im like 90% sure. Take the valance off, install the WAAG and then reinstall your lower valance

 

I was trying to avoid that because I just put it back on last night. Thanks for the help, I ll post pics. when I get it on.

 

Yeah no problem brotha, but im almost + that you have to take your valance off...or cut it...your call

 

You dont need to cut anything, you must have the brackets up side down.

Here is my truck when i had a waag, and i even put tow hooks on right after (not shown in pic)

you also DO NOT have to take the bumper or vallance off to install it, just loosen the bumper a lil bit

 

where did you guys buy your waag bars from? i have searched all over the net and couldn't find them

 

The waag sportster bar is disscontinued but the guys on www.generation-edge.info usualy have a group buy a cople times a year (special order)

 

I bought mine from Robin over at Generation-Edge(I think it might have been his last one though).

The WAAG Bar is on. I will have pics. in a few.

 

I have spoken with Robin over at GE tonight. He no longer sells them, he just happened to have one left over and I got it. You can call WAAG and ask for one if you want. Ask for Irma(I think thats the name he said).

i think waag will only make them if you get a big enough order together like the did the one time....

 

I'm a little late, but I know when I did mine they had the lower mounts mislabeled. Driver's side actually went on passenger side and vice-versa.
