The white one is just a mazda body cobbled on the new platform for a mule. The black one in camoflage is the new body style.

dodge did this they called it the dakota and every one bought the smaller trucks or fullsizes and it fell on its face, no ones going to try to break into that market

The ranger is about the perfect size, it just needs more passenger capacity. The addition of a crew cab and maybe a few more inches of room is all it truly needs. Well that and a turbo diesel :)

UPDATE: Ford continues to tell Autoblog that the new global Ranger is not planned for North America. As we've previously reported, the new F-150 will receive an EcoBoost powertrain that should deliver similar economy figures to the Ranger while providing improved size and capability, thereby negating the need for bringing a smaller pickup in this market.
Not the T6... that is the Euro one... just as I have been saying all along...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be an ***, but Everyone has gotten fixated on "4 door ranger" and keeps posting pics of the euro ranger... NOT FOR US. If something leaks, wait for a "for-sure" not some person blogging on site, with little facts.

I would love to see a 4 door ranger just as much as the next guy, especially when I see the 4 door S10's, Frontiers, Tacos, etc. I just dont think we will have one anytime soon.

I just wonder why they would bother testing a Euro vehicle in the United States, and why Alan Mulally would talk about it, and why this one is way different than the one's we've seen already, if there wasn't one coming our way. And if the plan was to make a fuel efficient F150 to replace the Ranger, why wouldn't it have been the same for the Econoline? Instead they brought the Transit over.

They need something to compete with Colorados, Frontiers, and Tacomas. No way will Ford back out of such a lucrative market. Never. Ever. It's business.

Ok I saw Alan Mullaly on Jim Cramer on CNBC last night and was talking about their cars. When Mulallly was talking about their lineup, he did mention the Ranger as part of the Ford branding strategy, along with all the others you would expect (Fusion, Taurus, F-Series, etc). I think Ford sees the "Ranger" as a valuable trademark and they will contine it in one way or another...

IF we get a new ranger, the new explorer is out on video (Looks like an Edge to me) it'll look like that. All I can say is I will be keeping my ranger until 1 of a few things happen.

1) I have kids
2) The engine goes and I refuse to replace
3) It gets sucked up by a tornado
4) Everything falls off and I cannot get them to go back on
5) It spontaneously com busts

Dont get me wrong the T6 is a nice truck with a better engine but I just dont like all the curves it has going on. Yay for a Global Platform

I really can't see the production stopping forever of the Ranger. Has anyone noticed that the Ranger is the only small truck with bedside stake holes? The only one. All those construction and fleet companies are going to be forced to buy the F150? Nah. They cant end it. No way. We just haven't seen any US Ranger spy photos yet.

LOL Yes, those would be nice. But sadly I dont see either happening. Althought I'd love to see the new 5.0 put in a range, that'd be a sight!
