I've always heard the EPA MPG estimates were overly generous, a new car rarely gets the MPG the sticker advertises.

so now, we can actually get better mileage than EPA suggests..

Its no surprise, the stickers were way off on allot of vehicles....

The new testing is not required till the 2008 models. Will the numbers change then? The old test was at a constant speed and who drives like that? I wonder if the new test has the speed up to pass the car in front and then slow down to below what the other car was doing? Does it include passing 3 cars using the right lane then taking the next exit?
Do drivers think not using their trun signals gets better mileage?
I have always gotten better by 2 or 3 mpg than the sticker till my 4x4. It said 19 and that's what I get. Now the new test says 18 so I am getting 1 better.
Now to see if my brakes last over 100,000 miles before the first brake job on the 4x4? Only time and miles will tell.
