New back window!! Old one shattered :(

Well last Friday i went up to my work(Sports Authority) just to visit because i was bored and there were these three African American kids that were 15, 15, and 14. Well my manager asked me to kinda watch them on account i was in street clothes and not working, well my friend goes "they are buying slingshots" and i said they better not shoot my truck because it was parked in the first parking spot nearest an open area. Well went to the back of the store and another guy called me to the front and said they shot my back window. I was so mad!! My managers saw this and chased them and i caught up and me and my store manager went to the mall they ran to, its an outside mall. Before my managers ran they called the cops so there were a few of them around and the three kids went into Finish Line and bought new t-shirts and as they were walking out we grabbed one of the cops driving by and said that was them. When the cop asked the one why they sat him down he said IDK. I was like wow!! He didnt say i dont know but IDK. So now i have to wait for my manager to get the tapes that have to show they bought the slingshots for me to take them to court and get my window paid for. Sorry for the long story but here are some pics of the broken window and the new one.

Crappy pictures, dirty truck from the nasty sealant off the old window, looks way cleaner in person

Yes. Beat minors up. The next thing that would happen is that their parents would sue you for everything you have and buy a new set of rims for the 88 Regal they have.

Sorry to hear about the window man. I hope they pay.

Wow, that sucks. What ever happened to parenting? I know when I was a kid, if I had thought about doing something like that, I would have feared for my life, 'cause my dad would've skinned me. Whats more, I would have felt that I let them down, 'cause i was raised to be beter than that.

That is a crime. They aren't on your property and they are minors. If they were in your house then you can do what you want but they might still get you for beating up a minor.

Yup. Hate crime this and hate crime that. Of course I hate him. Why else would I beat him up?

Still though. You can't beat up a minor no matter what color.

Soooo... hog tie them - drag them to yoru place - THEN beat them up? :-)

Honestly 0- if some kids were to do this to my truck, I wouldnt hesitate to run out and sock them a good one in the gut - then find there parents and tell them they better pay to repair my window - it teaches the kids a lesson, and I'm sure there dad will get real pissed a stranger came to the house with the kids in tow wondering why they broke his truck window.

If I was growing up and did that, my dad woudl have probably thrown me against the wall and pulled his belt off in a heartbeat - teaches you not to do stupid stuff... ever..! lol

And thats the attitude thats screwing up kids these days. I'm not saying your mom should decide what you do to your truck, but you should still show her some respect. And even after you're paying rent, it's still their house, and they are still your parents. I live 40 miles away from my folks, and I still wouldn't disrespect them, and I still value their input. Heck I even ask for their opinions sometimes.

Yeah i did like the single piece but i didnt like it not being tinted and i didnt feel like paying to tint it plus i wanted a slider, i like my air flow haha.

The other thing that really angers me is that the cops didnt even give me any information as to which i can call their parents and work out a deal. I want to call and say here: you pay for my window i got at the junkyard for $75 out of pocket or i take you to court and have a brand new one put in by a shop which will cost a lot more.

I told my managers i was going to kill em but he said dont do that because the cops are on their way and the three of them were very scrawny.

Oh! And i forgot to add that the one that broke my window walked out of Finish Line first and when the other two got nabbed by the cops he took off. Well his mom picked him up in the next city over(about 2 miles away) and he was one of the other's brother!!! They split the other two they got and asked who did it and the both squeeled on the one that got away for a little while hahaha. I was sooo mad!!

$75? you got jipped. You went to John's didnt you. Shame, shame. lol. I was up at U pull on Tuesday and I know they had atleast 1 slider, and Im sure they only change like $7 for a window.

Even if he had coverage, I doubt his deductible would be less then $75.
