I just installed new upper and lower ball joints on my 98 ranger and wanted to know what is the best chassis lube to use. At the store they have General all purpose, Moly Lithium, and 4 others. All have the NLGI #2 rating

 

Which brand ball joints did you use? If you can contact the manufacturer and get a specific recommended lube type. I just use all purpose in mine.

 

I bought the Moog brand. Decided on the Valvoline Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Moly Fortified that has a Lithium base to it.
