new cluster, truck wont strart?!
i just put a 03' cluster outta a fx4 into my truck, now when i turn the key, it goes click click click like a dead battery only more clicks.. WTF is this? i need my truck to get around :madfawk:

unless you shorted something when you installed the cluster, I don't think the cluster change has anything to do with your truck not starting.
Have you tried the fuel pump reset button? It's located somewhere near where the passenger's legs would be. sometimes on the firewall, sometimes along the right side wall. |
okay it must have just been the computer, i went to a hockey game and came back and turned the key and it started. guess it just needed more time to reset or something.

Your battery is dying, or your terminals need to be cleaned.
I'm willing to bet you left the battery hooked up and the door open during your swap. Killing the battery just enough to not start. Letting it sit for while, the battery will equalize after the drain and slightly charge. |

terminals were clean, and the battery is fine. could be better but its putting out decent voltage
|
Voltage and capacity are two different things. I guess a better question is what is the age of the battery?

Needs 12.6v to be fully charged
