7.5 inch cross pin

Hey I'm tearing apart my old 7.5 and I am a little stuck. When I try to remove the cross pin it slides up about halfway then gets stuck on the ring gear. It is "notched" back for half the pin then it isn't.

Any tips?

all done. thanks for any advice. tearing apart my first axle was actually kinda fun. got $20 for it scrape and im selling the ring and pinion local to another forum member.

I took 2 leafpacks, the axle housing, 2 drums, 3 shafts, and some odd and ends for a total of 200lbs of iron. i only got $22 lol.
