New Hitch

I'm looking at buying a hitch for my truck. As of now I just have one on my bumper. I want to go with a square one. What are some good brands or are they all the same? And as far as classes go, does the higher the class mean higher lbs you can pull? I just need something that will haul a 2 place snowmobile trailer and a 18 ft boat (not sure of the weight).

class III is what you want. reese is a good name, i have a class III hidden hitch name brand that has been great even after many hard pulls off it with a strap.

I found a reese class 3 hitch. Its exactly what I want. I found it through the reese website and looking at the instructions specifically for a 2001 ranger it seems very easy, there would be at max 2 holes to drill (it says some may not have to drill at all). The part number is 33058, I found 3 at amazon.com but could I order one from advance or some other auto parts store? I think it may be faster/easier/cheaper to just to amazon.com, they want 155.00 with free shipping.

You should go to some junkyards and look for hitches. You could pick one up for a lot cheaper.

If you have dual exhausts you better measure twice. Your bumper can probably tow those snowmobiles and that boat without much of a problem.
