Good post. Sounds like the 2010 Ranger will be a really good truck to own.

I was wondering if it was going to be redesigned.

Yeah all that stuff is nice but i really hope they redesign the exterior and interior of it. I think the rangers have had the same dash now for like 14 years.

Lol ya ain't kidding. But Ranger's are built tough to do work, not for show like some of the newer truck models. I guess they go by the "if it works very well, no need in changing" mind set.

I hope Ford's still around also. I don't want to own another kind of vehicle, except me Ranger.

The only reason it was updated is to comply with regulations for ESC and side airbags. Its not getting redesigned and its still a lame duck until the global Ranger replacement in a few years.

sounds like they're wussing it out like everything else on the market!

all the electronic stability control and anti-rollover crap, why can't they teach people to drive!

Its federal mandates not Ford pushing it. It also is a marketing thing too as the Ranger has weak rollover and side impact ratings. the airbags and the ESC should help it significantly.

ESC and more airbags are a good thing!!! now if they have an option to disable the TCS that would be all right...

I mentioned a front end redesign only for the fact that this current style has been around since '06....Ford has been out of that style front end on their trucks for a few years now...it's time to bring it back to match the other ford truck counterparts on the product line. AND another thing aiding in my opinion here is the fact that they are really upgrading the interiors and safety equipment....another reason to better bring the ranger into the ford truck family to 'current' status.

It would only be a matter of time before someone figured out how to disable it.

So the mini-F-150 it shall be. Now lets add a 6-speed auto.
