New Seats or not

I was at my local JY the other day and I have a chance to go get some sport trac seats and full length center console for $120. I know it is a good deal but heres the dilema. I have a grey interior. The seats are the darker tan cloth sport trac seats some of you are familiar I am sure. The driver seat is power and passenger is manual. I know I will be painting the center console and I could easily paint the plastic parts of the seats with a lil fusion. So should I go for it and hope they won't look too bad or should I pass.

Please post your opinions. I wish I had some pictures of these things.

Thats exactly what my mom told me to do. My seats are torn and the springs in the back of the driver seat are broken. Plus I really want buckets and a full length console.

If my seats were in bad shape I could care less what color the replacements are. However, I am more of a function over form person.

get them, then paint and covers
- sounds like a good price for the whole package - make sure the power seat works first

Yes get the seats, if you currently have the 60/40 like me then you know that seatcovers for those run about $150. I would jump all over it like a spider monkey if I was you CHIP!!

Got them. They are gonna look pretty good. They are actually much darker than I thought they were. The console is the wrong color but I am gonna do some fiberglass work to it at some point anyway and paint the whole thing.

Get covers or get them re covered.. I know the they make some nice neoprene covers cut to fit like a glove. Then you could have any color.

I'd get the seats, use them for now, maybe with seat covers, and keep my eye out on eBay for a set of OEM gray covers for them, or sell or trade up to what you want later.

In a truck, I put function ahead of appearance. I'd rather be comfortable than stylish any day.

Also, whether or not I would do it would have a lot to do with the condition of the seats I had as well. I would only spend the money if I thought the change was a major improvement or if I seriously disliked my current seats.

I have a cut in the drivers seat that bugs me. Was there 2 yrs ago when I bought it and has not gotten any bigger but I hate seeing it. And the springs are starting to break in the seat back but that happened in my old ranger too. The color of these is not gonna be a problem. They are dark.
