What's the the best method of sealing the third brake light? every time it rains i always find huge puddles of water in the back of my cab.

Put a bead of clear silicon around the seal and let it dry then slap it back on there and let it roll see where that gets ya

X2 on the silicone.
I ran a bead around the sides & top, then installed it before the silicone dried.
Figured I'd leave the bottom un-sealed in case any water got in there, it'd have a place to get out.
It's gonna be a PITA to get it back off though.

x3 clear silicon for the win, stopped mine from leaking as well

top it off with LEDs and you'll never need to replace them again for a long time :-)

It'll come off, just be careful, take your time & maybe use a thin putty knife to gently pry on the light housing as you pull.

I had some generic 100% silicone caulk laying around & that worked fine for me.

BTW: I scraped off all that OEM foam junk before I added a bead of silicone to the housing.

I think they meant run a bead of silicone around the brake light, after removed from the truck, then let it dry and then put it back on the truck

I just used some clear outdoor silicone caulking. Stopped the leaking quickly.

I took mine off, put a bunch of silicone around the lip, and stuck it right back on. If the light goes out I really don't care anyway lol
