HEY!!! Yah, I would like to regear, but I'm gonna wait for my SAS to do the gear part.
It's not THAT bad, I still can get up and move, so don't play games with me on the road! lol
My MPG has been affected though, hopefully a tuner and efan will help me this summer lol.. I've already got MAC intake and dual flow40 exhaust!

All I know is the 3.0, 35's and 4.10's don't mix.
I have the tuner, and still my transmission was going CRAZY!
It was up to 210 degrees on the hwy and I was cringing. It won't go into OD at all.
Needless to say, I just got my truck back fromt he shop with 4.88's and it feels good :)
Don't get 35's unless your getting gears, I'd say 4.88.

theres no way i could see doing that, unless you have a manual, and it would still be a slug.
but im going to be running 4.56's and 35's by late summer, so i really can't talk smack about rangers on 35's.

I wouldn't go with 4.88's unless you plan on running a bigger tire than a 35 somewhere down the line. A buddy of mine did 4.88's in his truck (04 4.0 Auto with 35's) and he said if he were to do it over he'd go with 4.56, the 4.88's are just not tall enough of a gear and his rpm's are up there on the freeway.

Hmm...I've never heard of anyone wanting a "lower" gear for wheeling or anytime in general. Even my buddy Kevoo on here said he would like 4.56 with his 33's (he has 4.10 now).
I mean, 4.88 isn't even that high to me, I didn't think i was even revving all that high when I got to drive it that first little bit.

I run 35s with a 4.0 5spd.. and 373's.. Its deff tall gearing for the tire on it.. and its a lil fast in first off road for creeping.. but thats what low range is for.. I get almost 20mpg with my 94 4.0 with the 35's... I dont see a problem.. its got plenty of power and torque... its not a mustang

So go with 35's hands down. If you have the money just to spend then regear but dont worry if you dont.
