New to the site

Hey guys I am new to the site not new to forums though. My name is Vince and I own a 2007 Ranger FX4 Lvl II, love my truck. I will post pictures later. I have minor mods K&N cold air intake, and superchip, BFG's AT K/O 31's I would like some opinions.

1.) I want an exhaust but not sure which one. I'm looking for a good deep tone. I know gibson and borla have good tones to them. Suggestions?

2.) Body lift kit or a suspension lift. Looking for a 3", I'll be happy with either if I could find one, Anybody know where I can get one?

3.) While running my truck to down shift most of the time I literally have to punch the throttle to the floor to get it to down shift. I thought the superchip would of helped but didn't. Anyone with a 07 having a similar problem?

I appreciate the help guys and I'll try to help out with what I can. I am active member and will be on this site alot

Heres what im gonna suggest (I know some will not agree with me).

My exhaust is Magnaflow. I love the sound. its deep and agressive, but not obtrusive and doesnt cause excessive resonating while cruising on the freeway like my old Flowmaster did.

Im not a fan of body lifts. They are cheap, but you should do suspension IMO. Superlift and RCD are the standard, but you can get long travel kits from Dixon Bros Racing and I think Camburg makes a 4x4 long travel kit. Those are really expensive. Most people get RCD or Superlift (do a search on them)

not sure about your shifting problem, my ranger is a wussy automatic lol. Try getting a real tuner such as the SCT X-Cal2 and then you can customize the parameters of the tune. When you buy it from somewhere like www.rogueperformance.com, they send you 3 different tunes that you can use. Thats better then the Jet chip or whatever you have now.

Hope that helps, Im sure youre going to get plenty more advice from other people! Welcome to the site!

Welcome to the site lets see some picks of what were workign with here .

Get a suspension lift , either super lift or Rcd both have there pros and cons but there still better than a BL be prepaired they will be alot more expensive but there worth it IMO ...You can get these or the BL at any competent suspension or 4x4 store .

For exhaust I would go with borla it sounds better to me.

The down shifting im not sure what that could be .

I think I'm going to go with the gibson did a search on youtube for the different exhaust and I really like the gibson split side sounds really good. How come everyone is so down on the bodylift I know it mainly for looks. I'd like to do the suspension lift but after the prices I saw I about choked I wish I could spend 3k right now. But I also have a 08 SeaDoo RXPX I'm modding. Gott make room for both

Body lifts are great if you just want to be lifted and fit bigger tires. I just did one on mine and love it. You can't tell the difference unless you get under and look for the blocks. I don't know why everyone doesn't like them. Summit racing has them.

Not everyone has the money to buy a Superlift of a RCD so a Body lift always works.

That will work perfect for your truck. Nothing changed between 05 and 07 drivetrain/suspension wise.

I would go with a Flowmaster 40 or Super 40 for the muffler. As for the lift, if you just want to fit bigger tires I'd go with a BL, about $200 from 4wheelparts.com or summitracing.com. I have no idea about the trans, but the truck is still new so take it back to the dealership and tell them to fix it, but take out the chip before you take it in.

Any other suggestions as what I should do. I am open to all. Thanks guys. Good site so far

You have to be a contributer to be able to upload pics to this site. You can goto photobucket.com and host them there, then use the IMG code they give you.
