New truck will it settle?
I've noticed on my 06 Ranger 2wd that it sets as high as some older Ranger 4wd's. I read on one lowering post that sometimes it takes time for springs to settle. Is this true with new trucks also?
The height it's at now is perfect in my opinion. I guess if it does settle it would perfectly justifiable to get 30's to raise it back up.. aka what I can tell the better half. |
no you probably got the sport which is the same thing as a 2wd edge.............

His sig says he has an XL with the 2.3L.. It should sit at the same height as any stock 2wd XLT i believe

It will probally start that hieght, but get some 30's eventually.

The springs will settle some over time and after a few heavy loads.
If your truck has the optional heavy payload package, it will have heavy duty springs that could also contribute some to the height. Also, it is a pretty light weight truck compared to something like a loaded V6 with an automatic. The springs do not have as much weight to support. |
over time it will settle, but you prob will never notice it for a couple years
|
my guess
it will happen gradually over time and you wont notice the difference until after it has been settled for a while |
