Ranger becomes 8 passenger people mover..

Yeah, it's prolly not legal, but we sometimes move people around in the back of the truck! My GF's family owns some land up near the beach in Maine. It's like a 5 min ride from the house to the beach, so we usually carpool, or maybe truckpool is more accurate. Usually we use her dad's cheby beater, but it's been having problems (surprised?! ) and they asked me to bring truckzilla up this year. They are total beach people. They go down to the beach first thing in the morning, drag an entire cart of coolers and crap out there and just camp out in the sun all day long. So Sunday morning we loaded up the 'humvee' my GF and 6 of her family members and myself into the truck and went to the beach! 'The humvee' is the nickname they have for this big wheeled cart that they load the coolers and stuff up on. We get it down on the hard-pack sand and push it out to the where they camp for the day. It's actually quite a sight. Bri's mum knows how to do it right. All the other locals know if they need to borrow something on the beach, that Julie will have it!
It'd be a helluva lot easier (and a bit more fun) if I were allowed to just drop it in four-by and roll right out on the beach. But that'd erode the hell outta the beach, so that's alright.
Well, I had a helluva day on the bach tryin' to keep the gut sucked in around all the cute chicks in bikinis and getting my pasty white hide sunburnt playing beach v-ball and bocci. I also learned a few things about wiring 110V AC finishing the back breaking work we started the weekend before (if ya'll saw that thread), but that's a whole 'nother thread!
Anyhow, hope ya'll had a good holiday too!

in my neighborhood, there were like 20 little kids(jr high age) walking around and me and my buddy pulled up in our trucks, cuzs we knew most of their older brother's and sisters...
long story short, i had like 10+ jr high girls in the back of the truck, and unknown to me, one on the roofrack...

yeah I think the worst load I have ever put on my truck was spring break last year...we were going down the strip in daytona to a party at a hotel about a mile up from ours and I had 8 of my fraternity brothers in the bed and then three girls in the cab(std cab...lucky me)....needless to say I stayed in second gear almost the whole way....

Yeah, I know they do. It's definitely a no no in Mass (what isn't?!). In NH I think you're restricted to adults only. I've heard it's not legal in Maine (where we were) as I'm pretty sure Bri's dad mentioned he'd been stopped for it, not sure if that wasn't just a cop w/ nothing better to do though. We used to hang people every which way on the truck heading down. The guy running the toll both at the lot even jokes w/ us that he should charge by the head..
Oh, and my passenger's were not seated against the cab wall. They were seated against the sides of the bed facing each other. The cab wall was reserved for the coolers! Although I did think far enough ahead to throw the central locking system and lock-up the tailgate before we got rolling each time.
