the parking brake on my 2000 ranger is stuck, so of coarse i cant get the drum off. is there a way to diconnect the PB or to get it to let loose without taking the drum off?

I'm not sure how to describe it, but you have to use a brake spoon or a flat head screw driver and move the 'adjuster' to relsease the shoes, it will be located behind the little oval hole thats about as wide as a quarter.

if you turn it the wrong way it'll make it harder to turn the drum, so make sure you keep checking it until your sure you're going the right way.

well mine sticks ever once and a while and i just pull on the cable threw the wheel well and it fixes it but mines from putting the parking break on. and yes there is a little wheel thing that adjust your breaks that your can turn too

 

My cable is in two peices solved that problem. I was tired of them always sticking.
