99ranger4x4 01-12-2010 06:47 PM

Damn man, sorry.. I say take the body and put it on the Waggy frame!

TexasRanger 01-12-2010 07:04 PM

damn dude. so glad your alright. hope that vomiting isn't from a concussion!

i loved your truck. one of the few lowered i would definitely drive. dont grieve too much though. it gave up its life to save yours. a very noble death if you ask me

did the airbag go off?

Johnbaum13 01-12-2010 07:31 PM

Nah, I like the Waggy body, so it stays.

No, the vomiting is from getting physically ill every time I walk out the back and see it, but thats easing up.

And no, the airbag didn't go off. The cover for the pass side one was knocked loose, but neither deployed.

"Texas isn't being nice to Rangers lately.. I think Eric and Casey need to hang up their keys for a little while haha "

HAHAHAH....yeah maybe....I try and be careful and safe.....it's the rest of the idiots I'm worried about.!

SVT01RANGER 01-13-2010 05:49 AM

damn dude, hate to see that happen, you should have hit the dog

Rolldogg 01-13-2010 06:55 AM

Wow, that's some carnage!!!

Obviously speed was a playing factor here. Some might say you did the right thing by NOT hitting the dog, and some say you SHOULD have hit the dog, either way your insurance is going to skyrocket.
Having the dead dog on the road would have helped you out a little. Having a rolled truck in that condition with no animal in sight........hard to play off not speeding or not paying attention.

Hope it all works out for you and that your physically/mentally o.k from the accident.

zabeard 01-13-2010 07:00 AM

awe man that sucks! hope insurance takes care of you

No, I was not speeding. Speed limit on that road was 55mph. Country Highway away in the middle of nowhere. And if I hadn't been paying attention, I woulda plowed a furry instead of trying to avoid it. Oh, and it ain't rolled.

The only thing in that post that is correct, Yup my insurance will go up.

Redneckstone 01-13-2010 09:43 AM

I loved this truck it was one of the most fun trucks I have driven it was like it always put a smile on your face. makes me still want a little 4cyl manual again.

JoshK 01-13-2010 10:23 AM

I would find the owner of that dog!!!!

dixie_boysles 01-13-2010 10:51 AM

whats the plans now for a new truck?

Jazz921 01-13-2010 11:10 AM

WOW, John I hated to see this thread, I know that truck meant a lot to you but Im glad your ok! What ya planning to do now?

Johnbaum13 01-13-2010 03:37 PM

No plans for a new truck yet. This one hasn't been pronounced dead yet.

camodown 01-14-2010 08:03 PM

damn just saw this. That is 3 of the 6 trucks that were at matts that are now gone.

I knew we should have put my bumper on your truck so you could have just plowed that dog

Johnbaum13 01-14-2010 08:55 PM

^^^funny. No, really.

Update: Adjuster came by today, good chance the ol' DSG is gonna get fixed!
