Not out of the woods yet regarding my fuel pump.

So the time came for when had to replace my fuel pump. When my truck was shut off for a period of time,
it would lose pressure in the fuel lines causing my truck to struggle when I would turn it over. In the precess of removing the old fuel pump I broke the green clip that holds one of the fuel lines on. Hopefully is something they will have at the ford dealership when I go tomorrow. Here are some pictures: Old fuel pump which is clearly broken, but I'm not sure if that was the cause of the problem. Attachment 90217 New fuel pump installed. Attachment 90218 Picture of both fuel lines, one with the missing clip. Attachment 90219 A better look at the clip I broke. Attachment 90220 Attachment 90221 |
What do you guys think?

Just ducktape where that clip goes, Ford will charge you like 20 for that. But from such little info I couldn't tell ya.

I cannot see exactly what you want but it looks like a hose clamp will work in the place of the clip? One of the ones you buy at the store and tighten with a screwdriver?
