Icon5 Tri-folding tonneau cover from Ford question

Hey all, can anyone tell me the actual "make" of the tri-folding tonneau covers that ford offers to sell? Are they junk or nice and rugged? Thanks.

I know this is off-topic (sort of) but why would you get a tri-fold tonneau cover? You lose 1/3rd of your bed if you ever need to haul a load. If you want the full bed, you need to take it off. You're better off getting the tonneau cover you can roll-up completely.

My dad has the tri-fold on his F150 and hates it. It is well made though, and its pretty strong. He wishes he went with the one you roll up, which is what I have on my Ranger. Its perfect.

to each his own. i love my tri fold. Ive never had an issue with loads. The damn things come completely off in less than 30 seconds. To the op i dont know about the ford covers but i have an extang trifecta. paid about 250 for it.

Yeah, exactly, to each his own.

I'm just going off experience. I don't really like the tri-folds, but that's cause I haul a lot of stuff in my bed, mainly my snowmobile, and having to take it off every-time I need to haul something is a pain.

ya everything i haul usually fits right under where its folded. I could see if I was hauling a quad or a snowmobile how it could start to be a pain.

Wirelessly posted (Timberwolf)

Hey gang thanks for your input. I know brand new they are pricey, but if it is quality, it would be worth the buy. Cheers
