Offroading yesterday

So, I will just say that I had a kick A$$ time yesterday offroading again. No damage to the truck, except for a slightly bent tranny cross member from a stump. Although, I can say that if it wasn't for my little 2WD 2.3L auto, Grewe02 would have been stuck pretty good. Yes, you read that right. I pulled him out. It was pretty freakin cool.

We were leaving the area we were in and he started to climb over this mound of dirt. On the other side was a creek bed. Yeah.... lost traction, dirt started to slide, and sure enough, he slammed right into the other side
So, I turn around, hook up the strap (doubled up) to my hitch bar, and give it the gas. Rocked him the first two times, so I said, wait... I removed the doubled up strap and went full length. Got a big running start, and pulled his A$$ out and over that mound. Oh, broke the strap too! It was awesome. No video, but damn if we should have! Anyways... have fun... and how is it that my stock 2WD sees more dirt time than most of the 4x4's on here.... Just curious!

Take Damn Neck to Elbow Road and there is a HUGE wooded area back in there. The First time I went offroad, and hit the tree, was over at the ATV park off of North Hampton BLVD...

here in MN, all of the area's you'd think were ok to off road on, are privately owned, or state property thats not to be used by private citizens for off roading. i do believe there is one area thats for off roading, but it's like hundreds of miles away from the twin cities. this is why i don't off road.
