Some upgrades
1996 Ford Ranger (duh) short bed
2.3L 4 cylinder
I want to make several upgrades to my truck and I need some guidance. Any hints, tips, or links would be very helpful.
Power locks and windows
Will a generic upgrade kit work? Any pointers or suggested kits?
Power back sliding windows
I have a couple ideas on how to achieve this, none are easy. Is there a model that already has this that I could take the back window frame and assembly from?
Glove compartment computer
Now computers and electronics I can do. Already got the parts for this.
Line-In jack and usb on the.. deck is it called? The thing that holds the cassette player, radio, and AC controls
When friends get in my car I want them to be able to play there music from their phones and ipods and such as well as charge them.
Thanks,
- Mike

the power windows and locks can be sourced from a ranger that has them. most likely a junk yard will have the parts. i say that so if you want a stock looking application. they do sell kits but the stock might be easiest to come across.
the rear slider has been disscussed before. the conclusion is that it would take a lot of fab skills to do it but no one on here has tackled it.

Actually, I would like to keep the stock unit. Simply because I like the stock look and it deters theft. I was thinking of just cutting some mounting holes.
Thanks. Will do.
In that case I will take a crack at it but I wont sink too much time into it.
