We can get what we want for the US ranger!
The people at the TCAP (Twin Cities Assembaly Plant in St. Paul MN.) are personal friends of mine. I have been attempting to keep them open beyond DEC 22 this year. I have been assured by people at Ford that they will listen to my "idea" on the Ford Story site. I am looking for over 1000 positive votes to keep the Ranger going here in USA. I am doing something because I believe in the people at TCAP. This is also our moment to get Ford to Update the ranger the way we have wanted for a long time. With our votes ford won't be able to ignore what we want from the Ranger so we don't have to go to Toyota, or any one else.

Please vot positively in support.

The TCAP has been ranger only for a long time now, when ford closed our Edison plant here in Nj a few years ago, TCAP became the sole builder for the Ranger. Ford has neglected the truck since the first body style. Many think the second gem and the 3 Ed gen were updated, but it was all explorer updates applied to the Ranger.
Now we have been wanting it to be updated for a while arround 99 was the last major update. Ford hasn't really done anything major. My link expresses to ford to make the changes we want and keep the truck built here for US!
I am not a fan of the global ranger in the fact that it will close plants here, people here will loose jobs, our economy needs a stronger manufacturing state to provide better and more jobs. 1 manufacturing facility makes 7 outside jobs. That's 8 jobs! Expand that to a whole plant and it excels!
The TCAP is already extremely refined and streamlined in their assembly, and it makes sense to keep them open and producing the Ranger. So many fleet Rangers are out there alongside our rangers. It's a strong seller for our economy.

My idea on Ford's site, the link I posted, will be taken seriously by ford. That is why I chose to do the compromise idea.
By adding the crew cab and updating the power train will build enough profit for ford to really retool the plant, add a steel stamping facility and provide the way to add a second platform there. I know how things are going there and why. There are things to be done that would benefit the people's production of the truck, the truck it self, the economy, and more jobs as well. Ford is investing so much out side of USA and very little here. If ford sees that the Ranger can be viable beyond 2012 and there is still a makrket, they will facilitate the new ranger for production at the TCAP here in USA.
I know alot of people don't get why I am doing this and it's easy to say I am a fool. But our economy is falling prey to global tactics. Intact our own president says we shouldn't be producing trucks or SUVs as we do. Our own president is scolding our American right of freedom of choice. I am normally not political but I have seen personally what hardships are happening to my local area and dint want that to happen any where else here in USA. I am making a small stand and backing it up.
This is a small effort that I hope can prove to be grand and actually make a difference.

Hey, I love my ranger as much as the next member. But if ford really cared about it, they would have done more to keep it alive. Not just the bare minimum/gov't forced changes that they did.
Like back in the early 2000's when all they did was cosmetic changes.
If you want us to vote, make it so we don't have to register something. Just vote and email.

Alan Mually wasn't working then. Ford has literally been indecisive about the ranger since 2000. Sales haven't halted though. Now that Mually has implemented many new factors that provide valuable resources to provide feedback, better made choices like flooding R&D with money to establish what we have today.
If you don't want to vote, you don't have to, it is all your choice. You have your reasons and I can respect that. All I can say is that it's a faster signup with FB, I have only received emails regarding my "ideas".
But basically the ranger has been left alone because no one stood up and said I want "this, that and this" to be done to the Ranger, and I will buy it over the competitors products. This is going to happen, because I am not going to give up.
I have been working hard on this. This isn't like I am supporting a politician, I am supporting people that I know, and I have seen what can happen to them as it did here in NJ with the other Ranger plant. At the same time having options of a VW pickup ant Toyota only, will just be weak. Unless Ford does make the ranger bad *** again and keep, and add more jobs (instead of adding to more unemployed statistics).
