Old lady for sale

Well, haven't been on here in a while.

This past summer, I traded in my trusty '11 Sport 4x4, for a 2015 Ram (gotta good price).

Long story short, lately, I found my old registrations, decided to run the VIN in google.

Now I must say, I'm from Québec City, in Canada. Here's the ad for the truck. It's in Michigan.
Used 2011 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab Pickup in Mason, MI near 48854 | 1FTLR4FE6BPA43801 | Auto.com

If one of y'alls buys the truck, let me know, and feel free to ask questions!

You're no dick mate. They are selling it way too much.

Dodge stealership, here in Québec, Canada gave me 11000$ CAD (about 9000$ USD). Now I understand the truck went from the stealership to an auction; therefore price went up a bit.

When I left the truck, the A/C condenser was shot, had a bed front left wheel bearing and fender flares were gone (broken)

I know mate. I'm still working on figuring how they managed to get it up to that price. I feel I should email the dealership, explaining that I'm the previous and first owner of the truck, and that I traded it in for 11000$ CAD (9000ish$ USD)

Used vehicles are where dealerships make their money. The margins are much, much higher. They always overprice them in hopes of finding a sucker to pay that price because they either fall in love with it or are desperate, but the dealer goes into it assuming they'll probably get beat up on it.

The new car market is much harder for a dealer to manipulate prices because there are MSRPs involved and the market is much more competitive (multiple dealers in one city selling the same exact car). When 3 dealers are all selling the same car to the same market, they have no choice but to sell at the lowest possible price. For example, I beat up the dealership so much when buying my Fusion that the guy actually showed me their invoice to prove they weren't making much money (~$500 when it was all said and done) on me.

They may actually get someone to pay 16500 or so. Three years ago I bought a used Honda Civic SI from a dealership for 5K which was approx what it was worth at the time and a year later traded it straight even on my Ranger. They gave me more than I paid for it on trade, 6K and then sold the Civic to a kid as a tuner for 9500. That pretty lil Civic may have some low profile tires and a supercharger on it now and be selling for 15K for all I know...Vehicles are worth what someone will give for them. I love my Ranger but it still isn't worth more than 4500 on a good day.
