which one would you get?
1) f150 raptor
2) ford ranger with the 4x4 dbr lt kit up front with the cantilever in the rear with fiber fenders all around on 15 beaded wheels on 33 mtz. super charged and just modified. master craft seats with nice sound in the cab. pretty much a raptor but a ranger. i love the raptor but once you buy it thats the end of enhancing it. and the fun part of having a stock truck is doing all the mods your self. |
Probably the Ranger since I already have a 150. I disagree about the raptor bring the end of modding it though. Anyone with a welder and imagination can make anything they want too.
but the truck is too nice as it is. maybe a bumper on the raptor. all i know if i were to get one i'd wait till next year when the 6.2l 400hp is an option
i vote raptor, i'm tired of my pissy little lifted mini truck. i'm ready to go fullsize in the next month or 2.
320hp 390 ft/lb V-8, LT suspension, 35in tires stock, wider fenders and a great looking front end
Raptor But I want to see what GM does with the new ZR-2. Supercharged 6.2L just sounds awesome. |
I wish I lived somewhere I could actually use a prerunner, that would be a blast. Silly NC with its no deserts
its 4x4 too so you get the best of both worlds
Raptor forsure its ten times better than a built ranger will ever be imo.
I'll take the Ranger. Wheeling a full size truck isn't as much fun around here.
Raptor for sure.
raptorrr
That's a tough one...I plan on a DBR 2wd kit down the road, but a Raptor fits a family inside better than my 2DSC Ranger with the factory jump-seat delete option...
I would go Raptor just to get into a new market of aftermarket parts. I've been in the Ranger thing for a few years, and I'm just sick of the aftermarket parts options that there are. A new market of parts would be fun to explore
With those two scenarios I vote Raptor (even though I don't like or ever will need one), but if you have the money, the ranger will be worth the proce of a used ranger even with all that stuff done to it, the Raptor will probably hold a better portion of it's value over the first ten years.

I would honestly go with the Raptor over the Ranger if I had a guy with a gun to my head forcing me to choose.
i'd take the ranger.. because like some have said wheeling a full sized aint fun too damn wide.. i live between 2 mountains.. standing in the house, go across the lawn, through a gate across the field, through the salmon river(small river) across a field and your at the mountain in one direction.. then stand in the house, go down the driveway, across the road, across a small field and your pretty much there.
so there's lots of tight trail wheeling here in the mountains lots of logging road stuff too. i wouldnt take a raptor through that ****. plus the roads out here are too rough for a truck like that around here in my opinion. my sister's bf wheels a lifted 95 f150 XL 4x4 with 35" big foots through a few dirtbike trails and i was in the truck at the time but he's not scared to scratch his truck either.. |
I would not get either one because I don't want a prerunner or Raptor, but I chose the Raptor anyway.

Wow if money is not a factor this could very well be the dumbest question ive ever seen on here. Raptor hands down, you cant even put the 2 in the same category.
Raptor all the way. Rangers kinda suck. The F150 will haul more than the Ranger. More room in the F150.
I would actually go with the ranger. A lot cheaper and you can build it up with the money you would save. Also I think smaller trucks are more fun to wheel with.
I think it would hurt my soul if an carnage happened to the raptor!
I'd take a Ranger any day. I don't really like the Raptor.
