tongue weight, will I be ok?

So I have a tonneau cover on my truck, and im going to be driving north about 6 hours next year and I want my cover. Well I also want my dirtbike, so I am going to be purchasing a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier.

How do you think the ranger will do carrying 250 lbs on the hitch? Has anyone done this? Cuz I am going to have a loaded truck, with a tonneau cover, with a motorcycle thats about a foot away from the hitch. Im worried about the leverage of the weight being so far from the hitch.

Let me know what you guys think, thanks

I have a hitch mounted dirtbike carrier myself and its not a problem. As long as you have a class III hitch your good. And i have a 450 so its alittle heavier

well i guess my dirtbike is well under my 500 lb tongue weight. I guess that means 2 bikes are out of the question.

It will be fine. I had my ranger packed full in the bed/cap and pulled trailers with more than 250 lbs of tongue weight.

you will be just fine I rune 4 DH mountain bikes that are 50lbs a piece off a 100lbs bike rack that sticks back 7 feet and it has not been an issue. should be about the same moment arm ad a dirt bike a few feet out.
