Ox lockers are nice because they're MUCH less likely to fail than an ARB or other selectable locker with air lines/wires/etc. Someone I was talking with about them said that ox is on the downhill and they were worried that down the road they wouldn't be able to get replacement parts for them anymore. Don't know if that's true or not, but ox lockers ARE very nice and an affordable, capable alternative to an ARB or ECTED

Detroit. Ox uses a cable actuator and I've heard they have a sometimes difficult engagement.

I want selectability detroit does not give that to me and with 35" boggers i would like the open ability of a selectable locker. 850 is comperable to an arb or e-locker so i dont think the price is that bad if i was looking for cheap id go with a lockright. I realy am looking for opinions on the ox locker verses the arb or e locker.

I thought Ox lockers were much cheaper than $850! You could get an ECTED for ~$550 and I'd certainly go with that instead.

detroit has an electric locker. Not sure if it's offered for the 8.8.

Don't want a detroit for 35" boggers?

Haha I have a detroit on my 38" BIAS tsl's..

I would really like an Ox locker for an 8.8 to put in my truck. But i dont quite understand the concept of why they are so expensive, are they really that good??
