Fender flare? Do you mean the part that goes all the way around the wheel opening?

Fender flare (in Ford talk, "wheel lip molding"... protects lower body from rock chips from oversize tires, gives tire coverage)...

Mudflap (protects flying debris from tires for following vehicles... directly behind the tire, below the body)...

Inner Fender (plastic lining protecting the engine from debris from tires... sometimes called "fender liner")

Gap Guards (used to fill the gap between inner fender and frame on a body lift truck)

Join the club dude, Ive been wanting some fender flares for years. They are expensive as hell though, and almost nonexistant in junkyards. Many stock rangers actually come with them from the factory, so you dont really need huge tires to make them work, imo.

"oversize tires" is more of a generic term. You don't have to have 35x12.50 tires to run flares. lol. Factory rangers have sucked in wheels and only 31's and look just fine with them. Factory flares or no flares at all. As long as the flares aren't horribly large, it'll look great!
