Alright, I'm not sure where this is coming from, but it sounds like maybe the tranny. Anyway, it makes a sound when I am slowing down (wheter in gear or not). Anyway, it sounds comparable to the sound a jet engine makes as its is being shut off. It only does this starting about 25-30 mph and slower. And it seems to go away mostly after about 30 minutes of driving. Anyone have any ideas???

Oh, its a 3.0 manual trans. if that makes a difference, or helps.

 

sounds like diff gears, have you changed them?? messed with the fluid?

check the fluid first, if youve changed the gears, then the lash is not set correctly

 

Nope. haven't messed with the gears. How would I check the fluid in the diff?

 

there is a fill plug on the side, should remove with a 3/8 ratchet extension, stick your finger in, the fluid should be right up at the hole, if not, add some until it is.

 

There's a plug you can check from the back of the diff, it's a 3/8" ratchet hole i beleive..

if it's a milkshake in there, time to replace the gear oil..
