Hood Options

I have been drivin around town and have seen some Fords with these pimp *** hoods, like scoops, cowls, etc...

i got an edge hood now with that big lowered part right in the middle so if i put a scoop on it...it wont work cuz of the dent thingy..

yesterday at work i saw this explorer sport trac with a scoop on it and it was lookin good so i started to do some research and found out at the sport tracs are wider then the rangers so that wont work...

is there another type of ranger package that would fit on an edge

and i remember seein something at a car show or somethin with pics of like XLTs with scoops and what not..

do you know of any companies that have a hood package for the rangers?

I have a mustang scoop on my ranger. you have to take it have it painted to match now the stock mustang grille is big enough that after you drill the holes you can pop the grille back on your painted scoop and begin cutting "trimming" the plastic grille down to match the contour of the hood. it acully isnt hard at all just time consuming.

Yeah the mustang scoop looks pretty good on the ranger edge. Just don't get those Lund stick on things. They are all over Erie and they look so horrible.

you dont UNDERSTAND ME GOD bless it...there is enough room the first people that put mustang scoops on was on edges IT WORKS you have to shape the grill to the hood you lay the scoop down on the hood in all the holes you can you take a masking tape on the hood to not scratch it then put some tape on the grill and trace the hood on to the grill with a protractor then start cutting it its simple...well for people that can modify things i guess.....sigh...

I'll trade you my XLT flat hood for your edge hood, and you can do whatever you want to the flat hood! that way you dont have to buy anything but the scoop and paint, which you'd have to buy anyway

I get what your saying...haha...but if your looking for a COWL, then find a company that sells one, if your just looking to stick on a hood scoop, then get a different ranger hood and slap it on there

I think it would be a waste of time to buy a scoop then throw it on top of the EDGE cowl.

I'm trading my Edge hood for a lower aluminum hood off of a 2000 Ranger. If you offroad, you don't want to build the thing up ANY higher. It's too hard to see over as it is. I know the scoops and all are cool -- but they really obscure vision in difficult offroading situations.
