performance oils

performance oils

Anybody have any knowledge they could share on performance oils? I am going to switch all fluids in my ranger to performance ones, any ideas on whos products I should use?
Lucas, Amsoil,.......

No need to make 2 posts. Amsoil is good, but I think it's really all preference. Synthetic is the way to go in my opinion, but as long as you change your fluids when they need to be changed, it shouldnt' make too much of a difference what brand you use.

why do u need performance fluids...the ranger isn't a performer my any means. i run Mobil 1 and the Mobil one filter. change it every 5k. As far as the tranny and diffs its what ever ford put in a few moths ago

Good synthetics should put you in the 12's, pending your Tornado is in good shape.

In all seriousness, like said, changing fluids isn't going to do much of anything for performance but your truck will appreciate the use of quality fluids, minus Royal Purple (IMO).
