Perma cool remote trans filter and gauge

Anyone install this, i was looking for some pics of where others have mounted it. Also with a electronic trans temp gauge where would you install the sending unit? Is it even necessary to have another filter? Ive read some reviews other says their trans worked alot better and smoother, how?

I have one, but no gauge. I never noticed any difference but it is always a good idea. Make sure that the hose is really clamped tightly to those barbed fittings or the hose will blow off. The stock internal filter doesn't filter all that well, hence the reason for a remote filter.

Are you sure you mean a temperature gauge and not a thermostat?

Might sound kinda dumb but do i leave the stock filter in? Also ive seen pictures somewhere of a bolt on the tranny you can take out and screw in the sending unit for a gauge, is this the same on a 4.0 5r55e transmission?
