I have a 99 ranger 2wd and i am thinking about lifting it. The only problem is that there is some stuff that i would like to cover up, so I am wondering that if i can find a skid plate for a 99 ranger 4wd if it would just bolt up with minor mods and if so what would i have to do (besides drilling holes) or if it would just be easier to fab one

 

You might be able to find a skid plate on ebay or on a forum, just search through the classifieds. I bought a stock LII skid plate off of a member here and it took 6 bolts to mount it and took maybe 5 minutes to put on.

 

It would not bolt up to a 99 2wd. I'm not sure how much modding it would take to make it work though.

I know it won't bolt up. When I was searching ebay and the net for skid plates I found quite a few for the 99 models, so I know they are out there, just keep looking.

well then guys...looks like its just off to my dads shop with some diamond plate metal to make one then lol

 

or maybe buy skid plates that come with a 4x4 ranger????
