Plastic trim on top of stepside beds?

Plastic trim on top of stepside beds?

How do you remove the black plastic peices on top of the stepside beds? I want to remove the peice on the tailgate.

pop the little round plastic caps off and there is bolts under them...

take a hook and pik set and pop them off and it is a torx bit, i forget the size.

I'd do the same thing, but i imagine it leaves some awesome holes.

its where the sides are held to the main part of the bed...its ugly underneath...

ok thanks...I got it off now. I took it off because im shaving my tailgate handle and emblem.
