Please Help Quick!!!!!!
Ok... so I was finishing up my custom gap guards, had them mounted and everything. I was putting my last coat of the 3M Rubberized Undercoating on the guards so that the the screws would be covered too. Guess what??? I sprayed my freakin truck on the fender right behind the tire... it is about a 4" x 3" area, I can't get this stuff off! Anyone have ANY ideas that will not hurt the paint?
wow thats some nasty stuff to get off too
acetone or paint thinner? |
Would that hurt my paint though?
hmm... go back in time... and dont spray it on the truck
^HAHAHAHAHA
sorry for your lost man...i dont know how to help. |
hmmmmm maybe goo gone or bug and tar remover?
^^^^ yeah maybe bug and tar remover, seems to be the best try to me
I might try that. I was thinking about spraying it with soapy water and taking a sharp blade and gently scraping it. That's how I got the sticky stuff off the front when I changed emblems.
I recommend Goof Off. It will do the trick nicely, just make sure to wash it all off when you're done.
try some "OOPS", it takes just about anything off but i dont think it will hurt your paint beeing that its sealed
Sand it off and just lightly touch up your fender is still there if those other products don't work. With some factory match paint in a rattle can and a little clear coat it will be tough to tell the difference in a small inconspicuous area like your lower fender.
now that u mention removing emblems, maybe try the heat then rubb/scrape method?

I had someone spray paint the hood of my truck and got it all off with bug and tar remover. Worth a shot |
