94 2.3l Ranger 2wd

Needing to replace the seal around the pinion flange. Mine has the 7.5" ring gear. Not knowing what I have till I tear it apart, I was thinking of the possibility of needing a speedi sleeve, then I saw that one can get the flange, nut and seal for about the same money as the sleeve. Trouble is, the only flange is listed for the 8.8" ring gear. Will that work for a 7.5" ring gear?

 

I don't think so, for the flange style

Rock auto shows the 7.5 as a 28 spline yoke
and the 8.8 as a 30 spline yoke
